Singing for Health and Wellbeing

Let’s sing

At Sound and Song we recognise that singing is a fundamental part of being human. It’s an essential piece of life’s jigsaw puzzle and we can’t quite be our whole wonderful selves without it, so we delight in creating opportunities for you to find your voice and to experience the joy of singing with others.

Singing Mamas

singing support groups for new mums

With the generous support of our funders our community singing groups are offered free for mums to participate. At ‘Singing Mamas’ we invite women to join us to learn simple and beautiful songs, meet other mamas and relax with a cuppa, all while the little ones soak up the sounds from singing. You can sign up for a 12 week course in one of our locations.

Song : Works

harmony, creativity & team building

Song-works has been created for public, private and 3rd sector organisations who want to invest in the true wellbeing of their people. The programme has been carefully designed to bring the benefits of singing to enhance team collaboration, creativity and organisational harmony. Each programme is bespoke and tailored to your unique company and team needs.

Frieth Singers

community singing for everyone

Frieth Singers is a new community singing group focused on boosting wellbeing on a weekly basis.

The group enables everyone to experience the wide benefits of singing from the immediate endorphin release to the ongoing impact on our ability to deal with stress and build resilience. You don't need any experience to join. All the music is taught by ear and at the end of term we create sociable opportunities for sharing our songs with the wider community.

vocal coaching: work 121 with Zoe

Relaxed, enjoyable, personal vocal coaching with Zoe to help you find your voice and empower you to sing. It’s not always easy to find your voice though and be comfortable using it especially if you are new to singing. Working one to one with Zoe is a way to ease into using your voice that is both enjoyable and rewarding. It’s also an opportunity to explore together what singing means for you, to reflect on how using your voice makes you feel and to gently explore in a relaxed and lighthearted way.

“Your circle was phenomenal. The best thing I could have done was to join you today. Thank you.”

Sound and Song CIC offers singing workshops and courses that have the power to transform us at every level of our inner and outer world; how we think, how we feel, how we act and how we relate to each other and ourselves.
.
We are a community interest company led by Zoe Hatch, a warm, dynamic and engaging songstress and workshop facilitator.

“Singing is so simple and yet so powerful that it has the ability to totally transform our experience of life. It can help us transition from feelings of stuckness and emptiness to freedom and joy in moments. It can help us find both inner clarity and outward expression. It can help us connect to ourselves and find harmonious relationship with others. It is so fundamental to our humanity and so humble that it is often overlooked and yet it is one of the essential keys to living a wholehearted, soulful and creative life.”
