"I nearly didn't come the first time. I hadn't been out properly in weeks and I felt so anxious. But everyone was so welcoming, and by the second song I felt much more relaxed. It's honestly become the best part of my week."

Frequently Asked Questions
Where are the sessions?
We meet at Sands Village Hall, HP12 4JF, every Thursday from 1pm to 2:30pm. There's parking available and the venue is pushchair-friendly.
Am I eligible to join?
If you're a mum experiencing even just a bit of low mood, anxiety, stress, social isolation, or any symptoms of postnatal depression, this group is totally for you. You are free to sign up using the form on this page.
What happens in a session?
We spend about 60 minutes singing together — everything from pop to folk to gospel, all learnt by ear. No music sheets, no solos, no pressure. Then we finish with 30 minutes of tea, biscuits, and a proper chat. The sessions are led by a specialist singing leader. When you register we'll get in touch so you know exactly what to expect before your first visit.
Do I need any experience of singing?
No! You don't need any singing experience at all. We start with very simple songs and melodies. Everyone goes at their own pace and you’re never put on the spot or asked to sing a solo. The emphasis is on enjoyment, not perfection.
Does my baby need to be awake during the sessions?
Not at all. If your baby needs to sleep or feed during the session, that's completely fine. The environment is relaxed, informal, and focused on the needs of you and your baby.
Is it really free?
Yes, completely free. The group is fully funded. There's no cost and no catch. Just come along and join us!
You can sign up using the form on this page. Some women will be referred by local health practitioners but most mums sign up online.
