About Our Sessions
Sound and Song: Generations creates a unique singing experience that brings together voices of all ages.
Our sessions are for mums, babies and older women experiencing low mood, anxiety or isolation; we connect through the universal language of song. Whether you're 18 or 80, your voice matters here. No previous singing experience required – just bring your enthusiasm and readiness to connect!
What to Expect
Women of all ages coming together to sing
Learn songs from diverse genres including folk, soul, gospel, and pop
Experience the calming power of mindful singing pieces
Discover accessible harmonies and rounds that everyone can join
Connect with people across generations through shared music-making
Learn all songs by ear – no music reading required
Why Join Us?
Research shows that singing together boosts mental well-being, reduces stress, and creates meaningful social connections. Our sessions are carefully designed to:
Combat loneliness and isolation
Build confidence through supportive group singing
Create joyful moments of connection across generations
Provide a nurturing space for self-expression
Celebrate the power of community through music
Our Approach
We believe that everyone can sing, and every voice adds something special to our group. Our experienced facilitators create an encouraging environment where you can explore your voice at your own pace while building connections with others.
Join us for our pilot project and be part of this exciting musical journey. Together, we'll create not just beautiful music, but lasting intergenerational friendships that enrich our community.
"In every voice, a story. In every song, a connection."
